Kimono Cards

On a recent trip to Portland, OR, I visited the Japanese Garden there. While perusing the gift shop, I came across a card that was folded to look like a kimono. Just darling!

It was similar to these ones I found online....


I had to buy it, so I could come home and make some myself!

I found this great tutorial about how to make them and got to work!

I used some paper from Amy Butler's "Lucky Flowers" collection, which worked perfectly with my kimono theme.

Embroidered cards

My Mother... The crafty person she is has a Viking embroidery machine and she teaches classes at the Jo annes in redlands at the Viking store there... Well one of her classes is going to be on embroidering on cardstock to use for cards, or scrapbooking... So this last weekend well Sunday... I went over with my Scrapbooking stuff and well lets see we made some cards with some of her stuff my mother had made previously to be used in this wonderful project... so below is some pictures of our cards that mostly my mother made... I only made the one with the glittered green presents... enjoy!!!!!outside of card top...

Pregnancy Card

I bought this stamp set in January and have been wanting to use it and now I have a reason to... A friend of the family just found out she is Pregnant...

The card was cut with the Cricut Machine - SYI (Stretch Your Imagination) Cartridge....what you cant see is the scalloped edge on the bottom of the top page...

Happy Birthday!!!!

Ok I have been busy... I bought the SYI Cartridge for the Cricut... (Stretch your imagination) and I love it... It has a Card feature that just rocks... So it totally takes card making up a whole notch... I was comissioned by my Team at work to make a birthday card for our new Manager this is what i came up with... SYI Present card with card overlay done at about 4 1/2 inches... inside i stamped Happy birthday...Hope you enjoy... Sorry for the horrible photos

After some debate I have finished another set of cards....
I used Basic Greys Oh Baby! Girl paper with the DCWV card set. The Ribbon is also Oh Baby! Girl from Basic Grey. Let me know what you think... I'm still deciding if I like them

Are you Wicked?

Here is the card that I made for my MIL and Grandma Janine... What I did was cut 11X8.5 inch cardstock in half to make the card... Then I used the Dreams come true or happily ever after to cut out the wand from the fairy godmother and the dress from cinderella and glued them on the card. on the Dress and the wand i applied Glitter glue to give it that magical look...

This was a thought that i had in my head for awhile. Just wasn't sure if it would turn out. It turned out ok. Hope you enjoy.

Find Joy in the little things

Here are the supplied with the finished product... I used stampn' up Ink and stamps and even the ticket punch, a memory marker blender and some cardstock from Michaels... 8x8 originally fold in half cut about an inch from the top...



The stamps are from Stampn Up some are from Celabration...
